Neil Dickens is a Counselling Psychologist (in training). He is currently completing his Doctoral studies at City University, London.
Therapeutically, Neil has worked extensively one-to-one, with couples and with groups. His specialist background includes working with addictive presentations, reflected in his research interests.
Neil’s further clinical experience encompasses working with anxiety, depression, OCD presentations, bereavement, life adjustment, family relationships, sexuality, personality disorders, career challenges and abuse. He also works both short and long term.
Neil has worked in charitable organisations, most notably those supporting victims of domestic violence. Within the NHS, he has worked in specialist drug and alcohol clinics as well as in a GP setting.
Neil previously worked for twenty years in corporate communications and enjoyed a flourishing career on both sides of the Atlantic. He ran his own company in California for over a decade and worked among others, with major blue chip corporations including, PepsiCo, CNN, Virgin, and Disney.
For several years Neil also produced for and presented on a Los Angeles based psychology radio show. He is a member of the BPS, SAG-AFTRA and Equity.
