Dr Carina Eriksen
Dr Carina Eriksen is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council. She has extensive experience consulting in clinical and organisational settings in the UK and Europe. Carina is also an accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies having specialised at the Institute of Psychiatry. She also practises systemic therapy and brief solution focused therapy. In the NHS, Carina is a Cluster Lead Psychologist for the IAPT service at South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust. She is an external Clinical Supervisor for the Priory and she is extensively involved in the training and supervision of other psychologists. As a practising psychologist with more than 12 years experience of the aircrew profession, Carina and her colleagues provide a unique assessment and treatment service for people who have a fear of flying as well as to the airline industry for employees who suffer from psychological problems. Carina also works therapeutically with young people and their families. She works closely with several British and International private schools in London. She is also a couples' therapist drawing mainly on CBT to facilitate development, growth and change. Carina is an author and a co-author of several books and her work has been published in scientific journals. She is actively involved in research with a specific interest in the topic of work stress and work/life balance, fear of flying and the psychological effects of living with cancer. Carina and her colleagues are often invited to present these topics at conferences in the UK and abroad. |
